J. Bernardt & be.focus

26 April 2017

J. Bernardt, the soulful solo project of Bathazar frontman Jinte Deprez, is coming to Couleur Café on Friday! He joins a fine list of Belgian artists on our line-up. To paraphrase James Brown: "Say it loud, I'm Belgian and proud!" We give you a brief overview of all the Belgian artists on our line-up, easily recognisable by the be.focus quality label. In other words: highly recommended by Couleur Café!

Artists like Baloji, Coely, Compact Disk Dummies or Roméo Elvis make us proud at home and abroad and need no further introduction. Often however, an artist is very popular in 1 specific genre or part of our country. Pura Vida for example is considered one of the best bands around among reggae fans, while Tomi & su Timbalight are adored by salsa and timba lovers. Daniel Dzidzonu makes some world class afrobeat and percussion band Sysmo brings together hundreds of dancers at each one of their wild parties. Did you know that Scylla, a respected and comitted rapper easily sells out the Cirque Royal but still doesn't ring a bell in Flanders? Caballero & JeanJass are part of a booming new hip hop generation and gave a great performance at last year's Niveau4.

By the way, on Saturday there will be a second edition of Niveau4,  with a new selection of Belgium's flourishing hip hop scene and two seasoned DJ's who will beef up the show with their skills.
Line-up: Zwangere Guy - L’Or Du Commun - TheColorGrey - Le 77 - Darrell Cole - ISHA - Junior Goodfellaz & DJ Vega.

Soon we'll announce the last names for Friday and Saturday, as well as al DJ's on extra stages. Discover them all on couleurcafe.be and listen to the #CoulCaf17 playlist on Deezer.
